The three new executives will bolster Pliant’s strategic and tactical execution capabilities to capitalize on the rapidly growing demand for its automation platform and solutions. Following are the new Pliant executives and their roles.
- Doncho Angelov, Vice President of Engineering, provides strategy development, technical leadership, and program management, and who oversees engineering execution.
- Jason Rice, Vice President of Sales oversees Pliant’s revenue-generating processes, ensuring the alignment of sales efforts with related functions, including marketing and business development.
- Christopher Rohter, Vice President of Marketing leads all aspects of Pliant’s brand awareness and demand generation efforts to build pipeline and drive prospect and customer engagement.

Doncho Angelov comes to Pliant with 20+ years of experience in software design and development, and software engineering management. He has held increasingly senior software services roles focusing on strategy, design, and implementation, and technology R&D roles at companies including VMWare, Microsoft, SEGA, and Milestone.
Jason Rice is a results-driven sales executive with over 15 years of experience in building and managing strong sales organizations. In organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies, he has developed and motivated sales teams that have consistently exceeded their revenue goals in challenging markets. He excels at setting expectations, communicating vision, and monitoring performance to maximize sales effectiveness. Prior to joining Pliant, he held senior sales positions with ScienceLogic, and CA.
Chris Rohter has more than two decades of experience in technology marketing, alliances, and product strategy. He joins Pliant from Turbonomic, which acquired SevOne, a leading player in the network performance monitoring space. During his tenure at SevOne and Turbonomic, he managed marketing, strategic alliances, and emerging product go-to-market strategies. Previously, Rohter held multiple marketing positions at Akamai Technologies, AppNeta, and EMC.
